Career Plan
My Story
Throughout my career, I’ve had the great fortune to work on some truly inspiring projects, while meeting many influential and creative individuals along the way. I believe in working together to create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Intended Career Plan

Graduate Position
Graduate Lawyer, BT Lawyers
This is very much a base level job that could be obtained by a graduate lawyer with the right attitude and work ethic. This would be a step in the right direction in terms of kick starting my professional career.

Two Years after Graduation
Junior Lawyer, Goodman Lawyers
Attaining a job of this stature would be an excellent stepping stone for me to exalt into the ‘big leagues’ and start acting on more of a public domain. Hopefully with my prior experience with the BT Law Firm they will consider me a strong applicant.

Five Years after Graduation
Senior Solicitor Prosecutions, Brisbane Council
At this point, ideally, I would be more than an appropriate applicant. If I was to fulfil the career pathway set out in this table, I should have obtained all necessary foundations and proficiencies required to fulfil such a demanding role.
My Career Plan Post Commonwealth Games Internship
This internship has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have encountered, however, it has not impacted 'my career plan' it has merely solidified the fact that I wish to pursue my law degree and become a lawyer.

As I am currently pursuing a double degree in Laws and Business, I am completely driven by the law side; aspiring to be a successful lawyer. This internship has shown me that there are other options to consider in terms of where my law degree could take me. The internship showed me the diversity of a law degree and how you could work in a corporate office or work on the sports field being a sports lawyer. As such, I have applied for a clerical job with a new sport management business, to possibly develop my resume and employability (Lifelong Learning and Career Development Learning Module).

However, as a young individual, it is my responsibility to continue to learn in any of my experiences in both a professional and personal level. Not only will this mind-set introduce creativity, but further develop my initiative and responsiveness to society. By being a lifelong learner, I am developing skills in managing uncertainty, communicating within and across different cultures as well as negotiating conflicts. By being determined and having a will to learn, there has been a sudden increase in my personal and professional development (Lifelong Learning and Career Development Learning Module).

This internship has not only been extremely eye opening it has solidified my career path and allowed me to fully engage with whatever future may have in store for me. As a young student and professional it is my responsibility as a lifelong learner to continue building my future career through current and past experiences.
